MUSIC

When Andrew Braithwaite was 9, he woke up one morning with a tune stuck in his head. He didn't know where it came from. He asked different people what song it was, but no one had heard it before. He then realized that he had written it in his sleep. He went to the piano, picked it out by ear, and he has been composing music ever since. Andrew didn't like taking piano lessons, and he struggled practicing until he was 12. Then he decided he would force himself to practice more so that he could compose better. He grew to love classical music, and later graduated from the University of Utah in Piano Performance. He has since given solo concerts of his compositions and arrangements throughout the world. Andrew's music incorporates a wide variety of styles-Pop, Classical, Rock, New Age, and Jazz. One of Andrew's greatest joys is seeing his music positively affect someone else's life.

Andrew just recently finished his CD, Christmas Flurry in October of 2009! Tracks include:

1. We Three Kings
2. Santa Claus is Coming to Town
3. The New Noel
4. Carol of the Bells
5. Lost
6. Santa Claus, Light My Fire
7. Auld Lang Syne
8. Silent Night
9. Oh Child Divine

In addition to solo work, Andrew is also the composer and pianist for the band, Petal with lead singer Emily Dunn. Last year, Petal released the hit single, Colliding, inspired by Stephenie Meyer's Twilight, the novel. Here are some links to the music, the band, and the music video!

Andrew invited Petal's lead singer, Emily Dunn, to collaborate with him on a special Christmas song

for his album Christmas Flurry. Listen for it! The song is titled Oh Child Divine.
